Benedict Philpott was born in the UK in the late 1960s. He lives and works between UK and France.

​

Benedict Philpott's work deals with the way we construct our concepts of life. This is achieved through the use of writing, photography and the collection of ready-made objects.

​

His letters are written by a number of imaginary personalities, each playing roles, thus becoming a conceptual story taken from everyday life. Her photographic work uses her own images, alongside found images.

​

Philpott has exhibited at Yvon Lambert in Paris and London in group exhibitions.
